Matemi Tropical Passion is a mate you want to drink cold. A teaspoon in a glass with ice and cold or carbonated water — and you have a refreshing drink after a workout, at the beach, or on a hot office afternoon. It also works in hot water.

Flavor: yerba mate base with fruity passionflower notes that become even more pronounced with ice. Lighter than pure mate, but without the sugar syrup sweetness.

Ingredients and origin: yerba mate extract with passionflower flavor. Leaves grown in Missions province, Argentina, product packaged in Switzerland.

Preparation: put half a teaspoon (about 0.5 g) for a milder drink or a full teaspoon (about 1 g) for a stronger one into 200 ml of water and stir. For hot beverages, use water up to 75°C — boiling water is not necessary. Also suitable with cold or carbonated water, with milk or plant-based drinks like mate latte, smoothies, ice drinks, or mate lemonade with lemon. One 30 g packet makes about 30–60 cups.

Caffeine: yerba mate is a natural source of caffeine. According to manufacturer analysis, the powder contains 12–14% caffeine. So, half a teaspoon (about 0.5 g) has about 60–70 mg, and a full teaspoon (about 1 g) has about 120–140 mg. You can adjust the dose yourself. High caffeine content. Not recommended for children and pregnant women or women breastfeeding.
